(2000) "Oddlot" means basically a random assortment of odds and ends, which is exactly what this album is. It features 7 songs, all recorded at various times in quite a range of live situations, from solo radio performances to full-on riotous band happenings. The sound quality is, shall we say, less than crisp, and there remain all the charming surprises (aka screw-ups) that make a live performance what it is. I think of it as a collection of souvenirs of moments that i find worth remembering, and a little thankyou present for you folks who, after all, are really the ones responsible for the magic of the live experience. I know, because I've played these songs by myself in my living room plenty of times, and there's really no comparison...
For all of the reasons listed above, this album is not available in any store! (I am working on the late-night infomercial as we speak) but you can certainly get it at shows or here in the store. -KD
