Appetite cover (1999) The Vinal Avenue String Band consisted of Kris on fiddle, guitar, & vocals; Sean Staples on mandolin, guitar, & vocals (now fronting The Resophonics); and Ry Cavanaugh on guitar, harmonica, & vocals (now in the band Maybe Baby with Jennifer Kimball); playing songs by all three band members and a smorgasbord of covers from traditional fiddle tunes to songwriters from Merle Haggard to Prince. For several years VASB played every Monday night at the Somerville, MA bar Tir na nOg. This 1999 album is a warts-and-all live recording capturing the lively & fruitful collaboration of these three musicians.
